Each week we will be highlighting one of our surrounding suburbs with some information about the suburb for potential buyers looking at the area. This week’s suburb is Holmesville.

Holmesville is names after Joseph Holmes, who founded Holmesville Historic Town in 1898. Holmesville Memorial Park in Appletree Road was named in memory of Joseph Holmes.

The quiet suburb of Holmesville located in Western Lake Macquarie, nestled in between Barnsley and West Wallsend, is 21kms west of Newcastle CBD. Holmesville has a population of approximately 1365 (at 2016 Census).

Holmesville features a NSW Fire Station, Holmesville Hotel, a great playground for children, large oval and skate park.
Holmesville is also the home town of Miss Universe 2004 - Jennifer Hawkins!

This smaller suburb is quiet, peaceful and a great place to raise a family!

Below are some photos, old and new, of Holmesville!
